Evaluating the Effects of Antibiotic Overprescription and Introducing Novel Processes Used To Undo Its Effects.
Abstract
This article provides an in-depth analysis of antibiotic overprescription along with novel processes that are now being developed to undo our grave mistake of allowing bacteria to rapidly develop drug resistance. Tracing the history of antibiotics back to penicillin all the way until now, where "superbugs" are on the rise, this paper also outlines how the issue of multi-drug resistant bacteria became so large and what can happen as a result.
