About the Journal

Nourish is an interdisciplinary, student-run journal dedicated to advancing scholarship at the intersection of food systems, public health, environmental sustainability, and policy. Founded at Stanford and run by undergraduate students, Nourish provides a platform for undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to explore how food shapes human and planetary health.
The journal publishes original research, policy analyses, literature reviews, feature articles, interviews, opinion pieces, and creative works that examine the complex relationships between nutrition, agriculture, climate, environmental justice, and public health. By bringing together diverse perspectives from across disciplines, Nourish seeks to foster thoughtful dialogue and innovative solutions to today's most pressing food and health challenges.

Each issue will highlight a broad range of topics, including sustainable food systems, nutrition and chronic disease, food insecurity, agricultural policy, environmental health, climate resilience, food justice, global health, and emerging innovations in food and health policy.

Nourish welcomes submissions from undergraduate, co-terminal, graduate, and professional students across all academic institutions. Through rigorous peer review and interdisciplinary collaboration, the journal aims to elevate student scholarship, connect academic research with real-world policy, and inspire the next generation of leaders working to build healthier, more equitable, and sustainable food systems.
